Duties and Responsibilities

  • Oversee and coordinate the daily operations of the dental assisting team.
  • Provide direct patient care by assisting with dental procedures, managing X-ray processes, and preparing treatment materials.
  • Ensure the dental practice complies with all health and safety regulations, along with maintaining top-notch clinic sanitation standards.
  • Offer hands-on leadership and mentorship to dental assistants, promoting a cohesive and supportive workplace atmosphere.
  • Handle inventory duties, including management and ordering of dental supplies and equipment.
  • Provide administrative support to dental operations, ensuring optimal efficiency in scheduling and patient communications.
  • Engage in continuous education and training initiatives to remain updated with the latest dental practices and technologies.
  • Contribute to the improvement of systems and procedures to better serve the needs of patients and streamline operations.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Dental Assistant, with at least 2 years preferred in a dental practice setting.
  • Required certifications for dental assisting and holding a current X-ray certificate.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities with a track record of effectively leading a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact positively with patients and staff.
  • Proficient with dental office software and comfortable adapting to new technologies.
