*Zubie Home Services Heating & Air Conditioning is hiring Full-time Assistant Controller

Your New Role as Our Assistant Controller

You will work from 8 am - 5 pm, Monday - Friday. After-hour availability is needed.

You will play a crucial role in overseeing and coordinating various operation activities. Your responsibilities include maintaining financial records and reports, performing account reconciliations, assisting with budget and close processes, conducting internal audits, and maintaining accounts payable documentation. You will also be assisting the CFO and also responding to information requests by management and for auditing purposes. Expertise in ADP and accounting software, such as SAGE or QuickBooks, will be utilized to streamline these processes and ensure the successful operation runs efficiently.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance - CPA or MBA preferred.
• 2+ years of progressive accounting experience
• 2+ years of management experience.
• Thorough knowledge of U.S. GAAP.
• Microsoft Office skills.
• Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements, and projections.

Responsibilities

• Prepares financial statements to summarize and forecast the company’s financial status.
• Produces and manages balance sheets and analyzes future earnings and expenses.
• Assists with management of accounting, auditing, and budgeting within the organization.
• Assists with preparations for audits.
• Works to reconcile accounting inaccuracies or imbalances.
• Ensures compliance with and prepares reports according to applicable government regulations.
• Uses accounting software to maintain records and prepare reports.
• Delegates accounting tasks to junior accounting staff.
• Coordinates with and prepares reports for the CFO and upper management.
• Contributes to team efforts by accomplishing related tasks as needed

COMPENSATION: 

$75,000+ D.O.E.
