Job Title: Preconstruction Manager

Department: Preconstruction

Supervisor: Director of Preconstruction

Summary

The Preconstruction Manager plans and oversees the preconstruction process of various construction projects from initial concept to mobilization. The Preconstruction Manager will be directly responsible for organizing, supervising, planning, and pricing multiple commercial projects. They will help lead the pursuit of RFPs and client interviews.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Other duties may be assigned)

  • Oversee cost control from initial budget to contract including subcontractor solicitation, quantity take off, subcontractor quote review, estimate assembly, and presentation of estimates to clients/prospects.
  • Create internal conceptual estimates based on schematic plans and historical data
  • Work with designers throughout design process to evaluate budget and constructability on negotiated projects. 
  • Excellent attention to detail and excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in a related field preferred but not required.
  • Experience with Negotiated projects, Conceptual estimates, Division 1 – 16, Assemble bid-tabs, Hard-bid estimates, Alternates, Excel Estimates, GMP Estimates and Project Interviews with prospects.   

Supervisory Responsibilities 

Expected to be an engaged and collaborative team member working closely alongside the project team to ensure successful delivery of services from all subcontractors and vendors to all clients.

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience:

Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; Three to five years related experience and/or training with a commercial General Contractor; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations 

Valid and insurable Colorado driver’s license
